Motorola is one of the most ancient smartphone company that was established in 1928 at Schaumburg, Illinois as a multinational telecommunications firm. The company was restructured in 2011 (After Split) and was acquired by Google in the year 2012. Google later sold the Motorola smartphone division to the Lenovo, a Chinese firm that deals in mobiles and technology, in 2014. The Motorola is credited with the development of first handheld cellular phone and currently is among the pioneers in the field of modern day smartphone industry. The company primarily manufactures smartphones and other mobile devices running the Android operating system developed by Google. Motorola launched its first Android smartphone in 2009, and its first Android-based tablet in 2011.
