As Bajaj Auto is popular for secretly launching its products, the bike maker did the same once again by introducing the Bajaj Avenger 180 Street in the existing range. The company kept its pricing around INR 10,000 more affordable than the Avenger 220 at INR 83,400 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Desirables have two colour options of red and black to choose their favourite one. Whereas, the vehicle will be delivered against booking post 8-10 days of making payment.
Evidently, almost identical to the 220 Street, the 180 not get fortunate to get digital instrument cluster. Besides, the automaker adorned the cruiser with the features like neatly placed small cowl over the new headlamp unit, a matte-black silencer with an aluminium finished muffler and tip and a new grab rail as well. Moreover, the set of alloy wheels offers an alluring appeal to this cruiser with the blacked out theme. The improved seat derived from the 220, is meant for a comfortable long-distance ride.
This less expensive iteration of the Street 220, is expected to be loaded with a 178.6cc, air-cooled powertrain shared from the Pulsar 180. Mated to a five-speed gearbox, the engine pumps out 17hp of max power along with 14.2Nm of peak torque in the Pulsar. Well, the expectations are that the gearing will be different for this variant to suits its characteristics. The braking comes from front placed disc and drum unit at the rear. Though, the ABS feature that is standard on the Street 220, misses on this lowered trim Avenger.
