Ford has always been known for delivering the best and catering to the user demands. The company has again come up with another SUV model this year by the name: “Ford Endeavour or Ford Everest” which is scheduled to launch later this year or by early next year. Just like every other car model, this to-be launched model too underwent a crash test as a part of ANCAP (Australian New Car Assessment Program) receiving a score of 35.98 points out of total 37 points and has also received a 5-star rating in terms of safety.
During the testing process it was noted that passenger compartment had a firm grip and, was shaped well, while the steering wheel displacements and pedals were also well controlled. The ANCAP report also mentioned that- “Driver and passenger contact with the airbags was quite stable and all doors remained closed during the crash. Though after the crash all doors can be opened with minimal effort.”

The SUV is powered by two different engines: a 2.2 litre, four cylinder TDCi diesel engine producing 148 Bhp, while the other one is a 3.2 litre, five cylinder TDCi diesel engine producing 197 Bhp. It also supports 6-speed transmission in both the automatic and, manual mode. Though the price of this model is not yet declared, but it is expected to be similar to the previous model which is retailed at the starting price of INR 22.16 Lakhs and goes upto INR 25.67 Lakhs.
