2015 Mahindra Quanto Design Likely to be Borrowed from Genio Facelift

One of the well established automobile giants, Mahindra and Mahindra is popular for producing different kinds of automobiles. Among its models, now the company will come up with an updated version of a Mahindra Quanto facelift. A report states that, few design aspects of the new Mahindra Quanto Facelift have been inspired from the Genio facelift. The elements which are borrowed from Genio might include new headlights, a black metal grille with silver accents, larger air dams, a well-curved bonnet and fog lights surrounded by chrome. This model will be available in Indian market in Diwali time.

The equipments used in this new Quanto will be far better than the ongoing model. Besides cosmetic features, this MUV will be equipped with a new color seat upholstery, an AutoShift gearbox instead of manual kit, air conditioning unit, power windows, anti-lock braking system (ABS), etc. Under the bonnet, the new Mahindra facelift will be powered by a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder diesel engine which performs its duty in the existing model. This engine is able to deliver the maximum power of 100bhp and a peak torque of 240Nm, mated with a new five-speed AutoShift gearbox. Mahindra has executed amendments in its suspension unit in order to provide better handling and ride quality.

Till now, the cost of this model is unknown, but it is expected that its cost will vary from INR. 6.5 Lakh – INR. 8 Lakh. The company will introduce this MUV in three variants i.e. C2, C4 and C6. It will get a stiff competition from Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.
