2015 Volkswagen Polo Launched in India With Additional Features

Volkswagen India is one such company on which all the motor freaks have huge faith and the car maker too have not disappointed its customers. In the Polo series, the brand has launched 4 models i.e. Polo, Cross Polo, GT TSI and GT TDI. The price of these models varies from INR. 5.23 lakh to INR. 8.41 lakh. From 1 September 2015 onwards, these cars are made available in all the Volkswagen dealerships.

The new elements which are introduced in these models are cooled glove box, sidewing mirror embossed with turn indicators, cruise control and electrically folding ORVMs. Apart from this, the top variant cars in this segment is equipped with cruise control and electrically folding side mirrors. Besides this, turn indicators on the ORVMs are fitted in all the variants of this range, while the refrigerant glove box is introduced to the mid models.

The company has fitted the same engine which is already being used in the ongoing models. The engine is powered by a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder PI petrol that generates 75 PS and 110 Nm of torque, while in TDI model churns out the power from 1.5 liter 3-cylinder TDI diesel engine. The top variant model produces 90 PS/230 NM and 105 PS/250 Nm and further, the GT TSI gets energy from 1.2 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged, producing 105 PS and 175 Nm of torque.

In Maharashtra, the performance oriented Polo GTI has been spotted during testing, which speculate that this high performance car will be fitted with a powerful 1.8 liter TSI engine. If the company executes with this launch, then this vehicle will be introduced in this financial year.
