2016 BMW 7 Series Eying to Dethrone Mercedes S-Class

BMW is soon going to roll out the next generation BMW 7 Series and it seems like now the Mercedes S Class is going to face some serious threat from the former. Interestingly, both the brands are age old arch rivals and hence, whenever either of them launches any model, the other one gets ready to counter attack. The models like BMW 9 Series Coupe and Mercedes S-Class Coupe will also be pitted against each other.

It is important to note that the next generation 7 Series could enter India by next year, whereas the updated version of S-Class might come by 2016 or 2017. Talking about the changes, one won't be able to make out much difference at first sight. However, when we observe closely, we get to see a larger sedan that houses various tweaked elements. Parts like grille, headlamps and alloys carry a different look and the shoulder line has also been given a restyling. Moving to the rear portion, tail lights have grown wider and chrome accents highlight the section beautifully.

Talking about the interior, the cabin has become quite roomy and the boot capacity stands at 515 litres. Moreover, the seats can be adjusted in multiple ways thereby offering more space and comfort. Further, a host of hi-tech amenities have been fitted including a touchscreen infotainment system at the front along with removable 7-inch tablets that offer entertainment to the rear occupants. There are also some additional features like cross traffic alert, active cruise control and electric blinds.
