General Motors has finally showcased the facelift version of the Cruze model in the recent 2016 Auto Expo. The car is now available at a price of INR 14.68 Lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Cruze facelift looks revamped and gets more updates on technical counterpart. However, it didn’t get any engine updation. The 2016 Cruze facelift is now available in both manual and automatic transmission variants. The new Cruze is likely to compete with prominent models like Toyota Corolla Altis, Hyundai Elantra, Renault Fluence, and Skoda Octavia.

From the exterior side, the new Cruze looks refreshed and revised from every corner. The front fascia gets reprofiled bumper along with the same set of headlights with LED DRLs. The rear portion also gets a new spoiler lip. Meanwhile, the interior looks similar to the outgoing model but some major upgrades might catch eyes like the 7-inch MyLink touchscreen surrounded with AC controls and SIRI compatible system in the central console. The new Cruze offers better connectivity of smartphones and Apple devices using the SIRI. Additionally, the steering wheels also gets user-friendly buttons that ensures hassle-free driving.
Under the hood, the new Cruze comes powered by the same 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel VCDi engine, which is capable of delivering a maximum power output of 165bhp and a peak torque of 360Nm. The engine comes mated to either 6-speed manual or automatic transmission gearbox. The automaker claims that the engine offers a mileage of upto17.9km/l on highways. As far as the safety is concerned, Cruze offers an array of safety features like auto ignition start stop, ABS, passive entry passive start (PEPS), side airbags, anti-theft alarm (immobilizer), and central locking.
