Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, well- renowned two-wheeler manufacturer in the country has declared the launch of 2017 CB Hornet 160R with new color variants.The two new color variants of the bike include Sports Red and Athletic Blue. Honda has done away with the more affordable solid colour options. Mars Orange and Striking Green are two more colors that were introduced earlier. Now the motorcycle is available in four color variants.
Honda was the first two- wheeler manufacturer in India to be BSIV ready. The motorcycle is fitted with BSIV compliant engine since its launch in December 2015.
From the engine front, CB Hornet 160R is powered by a 162.71 cc single-cylinder air-cooled carbureted engine, which produces power output of 15.04 bhp (reduced by 0.62 bhp) at 8,500 rpm and 14.76 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. It is coupled with a 5-speed transmission.
The bike is 2Kg lighter in comparison to previous models. Standard variant of the bike now weighs 138 kg whereas the CBS (combi-brake system) trim variant now weighs 140 kg ( weight drop down from 140 kg and 142 kg respectively).
140 section rear tyre, optional petal disc in the rear for the CBS trim, a digital instrumentation, X-shaped LED taillamp are some of the highlighting features of the 2017 Honda CB Hornet 160R. Hornet 160R has been priced at INR 82,095 and INR 86,595 for standard variant and CBS trim variant respectively. It must be noted that all prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
