2017 Honda CB Shine Launched With BS-IV and AHO Feature: Priced at INR 60,467

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the improved version of its popular commuter in the 125cc segment- 2017 BS IV CB Shine at the price of INR 60,467 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Besides, complying the stringent BS-IV emission norms, the motorcycle also supports the Auto Headlamp On feature, which is going to be mandatory from April 2017. The Tapukara (Rajasthan) based company’s manufacturing facility has rolled out a huge number of 50th lakh full-fledged units of the motorcycle.

The new CB Shine is the third BS-IV compliant Honda motorcycle after the first two being the CB Hornet 160R and the Unicorn 160, available in the Indian market. As revealed, the motorcycle continues to share the same a 124.73 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, integrated with Honda Eco Technology (HET). Mated to a four-speed gearbox transmission, the engine develops 10.16 BHP of peak power at 7500 rpm and 10.30 Nm of towering torque at 5500 rpm.

Apart from the BS-IV compliant engine, the New 2017 CB Shine has also observed some aesthetic refinements like a 3D logo featuring on the fuel tank, chrome polished exhaust muffler and chrome carburetor cover as well. There are two colour options-Athletic Blue Metallic and Imperial Red Metallic are available to choose in this new variant. On braking system basis, the motorcycle has three variants- self-start with drum brake, self-start with disc brake and self-start with disc brake and combi braking system(CBS) in the market.

As per the recently released teaser of 2017 Honda Shine SP, it is clear that motorcycle with five-speed gearbox instead of four is going to make in the market soon.

On rivalry chapter, the new 2017 BS IV CB Shine will go head to head with the Hero Glamour and its updated trim is also set to launch in next weeks.
