2017 Nissan GT-R Spotted at Indian Dealership; Expected Launch on November 9

Well, those who are waiting for the 2017 Nissan GT-R can lose their wallet as the beast is finally launching on November 9, 2016 in the Indian car segment. However, the automaker had already commenced pre-booking of the car last month at the token amount of INR 25 Lakhs. As we earlier wrote in a report, the delivery will be started after the debut of the vehicle here in the country on a first-come, first serve based formula. Pricing aspects have not been revealed yet, but they are likely to be around INR 2 crore (Ex-showroom).



The latest design GT-R was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and claimed to have most prominent upgrade over the regular version that was released back in 2007. Pursuing the details, it houses a new front fascia that is embellished with a new front lip spoiler, a revamped bumper, restyled engine hood, and a signature V-motion grille along with a redesigned mesh pattern. Furthermore, the side sills have also been modernized to direct airflow around the unit as well as the rear end has slightly been reworked.   



On the dimension front, it is reported to design with a total length of 4656 mm, a decent height of 1369 mm, a width of 1895 mm and has a wheelbase of 2780 mm. Moreover, it is going to be offered with a range of exterior color options namely Vibrant Red, Ultimate Silver, Blue Racing, Gun Metallic, Pearl White, Black Metallic and Katsura Orange.



Inside the cabin, the 2017 Nissan GT-R will get a major overhaul. Looking at the pictures it seems more scenic and upmarket for securing a new centre console with fewer buttons, fresh multi-function steering wheel along with gearshift paddles comprised with the steering spokes, NissanConnect 8.0-inch touchscreen display, leather upholstery options and new interior trims. In terms of features, it will come out with Recaro seats, door panels, Semi-aniline leather on centre console, gearshift lever, Multiple drive modes, driver-adjustable shock absorber, Front & rear sonar sensors, 6 airbags, Active-noise cancellation, Traction control system, Vehicle dynamic control, Anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic brakeforce distribution (EBS) and some others.



As far as the powertrain is concerned, the Nissan GT-R will come out with the same 3.8-litre, twin-turbocharged, 6-cylinder V configuration in unit. It is capable enough to pump out the unit with a maximum power of 562 Bhp and a peak torque of 637 Nm. Besides, the transmission obligations will be taken care of by a six-speed dual clutch box. Having an all-wheel drive facility, the beast can perform naught to 100 kmph range under 3 seconds thereby it can hit the maximum speed up to 317 kmph.
