As per the recent report, the Indian arrival of the sports tourer 2018 Honda CBR650F is slated in month of October, during Diwali festive season. Other than this, the report also suggests that the bike will carry a price tag near about INR 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Apparently, the updated CBR650F will feature a redesigned fairing, full LED headlights, and a carried forward taillight. A host of new colours are also expected including Millennium Red, Matte Gunpowder Black and Pearl Metalloids White.
In terms of mechanicals, there is no information about the overhauled CBR650. While, the ongoing model is equipped with a 649cc, inline four cylinder engine that is capable of churning out 89.8 BHP at 11,000 rpm along with 64 Nm of peak power at 8,000 rpm.
Speculations suggest, the forthcoming will be Euro-IV compliant and will feature a revised air intake to increase power. Moreover, a shorter gear ratios and excellent power delivery after 5000 rpm are also claimed through report.
The Showa 41 mm dual bending front forks and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock will complete the suspension setup on the 2018 Honda CB650F. Whereas, the Nissin sourced brakes along with dual channel ABS will take care the braking duties.
In the recent launches, the Japanese bike maker has introduced a liter class CBR1000RR in India at INR 17.61 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This powerful and lightweight motorcycle compete with the likes of Kawasaki ZX-10R, Yamaha R1 and Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the segment. While, the Honda CBR650F which is said to be most expensive motorcycle in its segment will knock his horns with Kawasaki Ninja 650 with a price tag INR 2 lakh costlier than the latter.
