The Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer, Toyota has ultimately showcased two of its models-2018 Toyota Corolla Axio and 2018 Toyota Corolla Fielder post its recent leak event. The models are revealed only in the Japanese market.
The second facelift for the eleventh-gen Corolla Axio and the third-gen Corolla Fielder are furnished with a newly designed front grille and bumper. While, the WxB trim of the models gets mesh pattern grille, rear spoiler for Corolla Axio and grey stripe trim for seat back. The Corolla Axio WxB has also been decorated with the popular White coloured seats from the Corolla Fielder WxB.
The Toyota Safety Sense C Package which was introduced with the first facelift models of the old Toyota Corolla Axio and Toyota Corolla Fielder. This safety package is continued as standard fitment with across the new Toyota Corolla Axio and Toyota Corolla Fielder range.
Other than this, an Intelligent Clearance Sonar feature in new models help in preventing or ending up collisions danger caused by rapid acceleration after pedal misapplication. Fundamentally, the system automatically reduces the engine or motor output and applies brakes if the distance between object and vehicle is considerably low.
Aiming the monthly sales of 2500 units for the new Corolla Axio, the carmaker packed both the 2018 Toyota Corolla Axio and 2018 Toyota Corolla Fielder models with the powertrain options carried forward from the previous model. The power output is also as same as before. However, the fuel economy of the hybrid model has been tewaked from 33.8 km/l to 34.4 km/l.
The arrival of both the 2018 Toyota Corolla Axio and 2018 Toyota Corolla Fielder in India is in darkness as there is no official information regarding, by the automaker.
