2019 Ford Endeavour Launched in India Today

Ford India has launched the 2019 Endeavour in the country today. In countries like Thailand, it is already available on sale since mid-2018. In its next-gen avatar, the Endeavour got updated at cosmetics and receives new technological features as well.

At the Exterior, the new Ford Endeavour features a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels, reworked front grille and front bumper too. In addition to this, the SUV is on offer with a new Diffused Silver colour scheme which replaces the existing Smoke Grey colour option on the outgoing model. furthermore, the colour palette will continue to be the same as earlier.

 Moving inside the cabin, the 2019 Ford Endeavour interior layout is all identical to the outgoing model albeit blessed with some updated features. The black, brown interior theme has now been superseded with a new black-and-beige theme. The improved SUV gets a push-button start/stop with passive key-less entry, an electrically-adjustable driver and co-driver seat, power boot-release, dual-zone automatic climate control, etc.

Several features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, a panoramic sunroof, standard 6 airbags and an additional knee airbag for the top-spec trim, will continue to be carry forward with the outgoing model. The electronic package will comprise cruise control, semi-auto parallel park assist and tire pressure monitoring system.

The company has discontinued the base-spec Trend variant and is now available only in variants like the Titanium and Titanium+. Under the hood, the 2019 Ford Endeavour is powered by the same 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre diesel engine options. The 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder engine is said to develop 160PS of power and transmitting 385Nm of torque. On the other end, the 3.2-litre unit makes out 200PS of maximum power and 400Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come mated to a automatic transmission as standard while a 6-speed manual transmission unit is being offered only with the 2.2-litre engine option. The 2.2-litre engine option promises to deliver the fuel efficiency of 14.2 km/l while the 3.2-litre engine option is capable of returning the fuel mileage of 12.62 km/l.

The pricing for the new Endeavour falls in the vicinity of INR 28.19-32.97 lakhs for the mentioned variants. They are slightly premium over the outgoing model. In its segment, this full-sized SUV will take competition with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4 and the Isuzu MU-X.
