The Endeavour latest iteration of Ford’s flagship has been spied testing in India for the first time which suggests that SUV will be launching in India very soon. Endeavour facelift was disclosed in May 2018 and was launched in Thailand in July 2018. It is expected to arrive in India in early 2019.
The 2019 Endeavour looks mostly similar to the present model with fewer changes in the form of a larger three-slat front grille, upgraded fog lamp housing and nominally changed bi-xenon headlights. Internally, it is expected that it will contain Ford’s SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with push-button start as standard. Presently, Ford gives the SYNC infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard on the Endeavour.

The most significant change might be under the hood. In Thailand, the facelifted Endeavour gets a 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine and is available in two states of tune: 182PS/420Nm and 215PS/500Nm (with twin-turbo) with a new 10-speed automatic transmission. 2019 Ford Endeavour Facelift might replace both the present 2.2-litre (160PS/385Nm) and 3.2-litre (200PS/470Nm) diesel engines, which come coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Thai-spec car has the latest safety features like autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and pedestrian and vehicle detection but they are least expected in India. The India-spec car will mostly contain the features- ABS with EBD, seven airbags, ESP (electronic stability program), traction control (TC) and hill launch assist.

The 2019 Ford Endeavour will mostly be priced high as compared to current models which will range from Rs 26.32 lakh to Rs 32.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). When launched, it will already have competitors body-on-frame SUVs namely- Mahindra Alturas G4, Isuzu mu-X and the Toyota Fortuner. Other SUVs available at this price are- Skoda Kodiaq, Honda CR-V and Mitsubishi Outlander.
