It is quite enthralling that the last month launched 2019 Honda Civic petrol option with the ZX variant has already captured 85% of the booking. The 10th Gen Honda Civic was launched earlier this month on 7th March 2019 in India after a gap of 7 years. By the end of March, the company had already received over 2,400 bookings in just 40 days for the Civic, it signifies the love of the customers for the badge and it seems that the badge will soon reclaim its lost grandeur.
Although 2400 is a small figure, it\'s quite nice as far as overall sales of last 5 months in the segment are concerned as it is 4 times greater than the total sales registered by the segment, despite the fact that Civic is the most pricey car in the segment. Apart from Civic, the segment have Toyota Corolla, Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra. Together, these cars encounter the total monthly sale of 500 units.
The production process of Honda Civic takes place at the company’s common production plant in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh where the Civic, CR-V, and City also get manufactured. The Honda Amaze is manufactured at the Honda plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan.
The report states 85% of the bookings for the new Honda Civic petrol version and more than 80% of the booking for the top-spec models. Many buyers are not new, they are already attested with the past experience of the earlier generation Civic.
The eighth-gen Honda Civic was discontinued in India after 2013 because of the low demand. The company again entered the market by launching the ninth-gen Civic in India but it lacked in an appropriate diesel engine for the Indian version. And finally to restore the lost glory the facelifted version of the tenth-gen Civic was launched in the country earlier this year with both petrol and diesel engine options. And amazingly the same was accosted by the large number of customers beyond the shadow of a doubt.
