Honda WR-V, one of the most selling cars from the house of Honda Cars India, has been updated with the changes for the 2019 Calendar Year. However, the changes are not that exaggerating but the features being offered as standard has increased in the count. The initial pricing for this updated Honda WR-V is INR 8.15 lakh while a newly introduced mid spec V trim, powered by a diesel engine, will set you back at INR 9.95 lakh.
Honda positioned this new V trim diesel in between the base S and top-spec VX variants and embellished it with most of the premium features of the VX variant. This includes a reverse camera, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, power-folding ORVMs, and more. And the features which are not the check-marked in the list are the leather-wrapped steering wheel and the electric sunroof. Consequently, the Japanese carmaker priced the 2019 Honda WR-V with the price tag of INR 9.95 lakh, which makes it costlier by INR 70,000 over the base S variant and cheaper by INR 40,000 over the VX variant.

Other than the addition of new V trim with diesel engine, the company updated the outgoing models base S trim and the top-spec VX variant. The standard S trim gets the addition of 16-inch alloy wheels with a gunmetal finish, front fog lamps, automatic climate control with the touch control panel, speed-sensing auto door lock, one-touch auto up-down operation for the driver’s side window. While the top-end Honda WRV i-VTEC VX variant blessed with the addition of one and only a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Furthermore, the features which are being offered as standard across the WR-V range comprises rear parking sensors, speed alert system, seatbelt reminder for the driver and front passenger.
For the inclusion of mentioned features the company is asking a premium of INR 20,000-30,000 over the outgoing base S version and INR 5,000-8,000 more over the old VX trims.
In India, the WR-V was introduced in 2017, since its launch, the company has managed to sell around 88,000 units across the country.
