2019 Hyundai Grand i10 Spotted Testing, Likely To Launch This Year

Hyundai Cars India is going to launch 8 cars in India till 2020. The first was the new Santro which was launched in the last of 2018. Now the upcoming cars are the 2019 Grand i10, Creta, Elantra and a sub 4 meter SUV which is dubbed as the name Carlino Styx.

Now the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 has been spotted testing on the Mumbai - Pune expressway which indicates its launch very soon. It is speculated that the upcoming Grand i10 might be launched at the last of the year, perhaps before the festive season. As compared to the previous model, the forthcoming Grand i10 will be bigger because the platform will be enhanced and advanced which will be stronger and lighter. There will also be many feature updates in it.

The 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 will be made to sit on the platform on which the current Santro is positioned. The design will be same as of the previous model Grand i10 but with the updated features which include new headlamps, LED DRLS and mild changes on front and back bumpers. As per the former leaked images, unlike on the ORVMs which was seen on its former model, the upcoming car could carry turn indicators positioned on front mudguards, new fog lamps on its lower bumper and cascading front grille design.

The cabin of 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 is also upgraded with dual tone internal in black and beige, new steering wheel design, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, bigger and more comfortable seats. The cabin will be more spacious because of the larger platform in which five adults can easily settle down. To meet the new safety regulations, the forthcoming car will come with speed alert, rear parking sensors, dual airbags with ABS as standard.

As the demand of small diesel cars is decreasing, so Hyundai might not give the next-gen Hyundai i10 a diesel powertrain and might only come with a petrol powertrain which will be married to 5 speed MT and AMT. present Grand i10 comes with a 1.2-litre petrol powertrain which produces 83hp and 1.2-litre diesel powertrain that churns out 75hp. The powertrain will meet the BS-VI norms.

These tweaks and upgradations will increase the price sticker of the 2019 Hyundai Grand i10 which at present cost Rs 4.99 lakhs. After the launch, the new Hyundai Grand i10 will compete with the rivals, Maruti Swift and Ford Figo.
