After R3, KTM RC390 Get Turbo Engine by Performance Technology

The Sportsbike from the Austrian giant, KTM RC390, showcased at the ongoing Qatar Auto Show in a totally different avatar. The RC390 appeared to equip with a Turbo engine as its beating heart. This turbocharged RC390 is presented by the Italian firm, Performance Technology. The founder of the company, Nicola Bragagnolo says that this transformed KTM RC390 will also be succeeded to impress audience across the globe as their first project, Yamaha R3 Turbo.

The revived KTM RC390 keeps the same IHI RHB31 Power house under the fairing as used in last project Yamaha R3 to boost up the performance by increasing power to 60 PS at 10,000 rpm. The extant RC390 model produces the power of 44 PS and a torque of 35 Nm from a 373.2cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine. The motor is mated to a speed gear set up to transfer the power to the rear wheel. The power and a torque figures of the upgraded turbocharged KTM RC390 not revealed yet, but motorcycle will touch the perceptive figure of 60PS equal to the R3 Turbo, the machine converted to the racing beast.

The visible alterations to the showcased RC390 Turbo was the modification to the engine and the replacement of single exhaust with twin compact exhausts to tuned the motorcycle similar to the Moto3 racing machines. This transformation will definitely turned the RC390 to a compact engine fastest Sportsbike ever in the world.

Providing the performance sportsbike at an economical price tag, is the only goal of the Italian outfit, Performance Technology. The overall amount of money will be approx nearer to the indulge amount of 9,900 Euros in the last offering Yamaha R3 Turbo. After KTM RC390 Turbo, Ninja 300 from the Japanese automaker, Kawasaki is in the next project to roll out by the tuning company, and expected to reach by March 2016 in the motoring market.
