The German carmaker, Audi has finally introduced the petrol variant of its flagship seven-seater SUV, the Q7. The SUV is named as 40 TFSI and is priced at INR 67.76 lakh (ex-showroom). The company put two of its variants- the premium plus and the technology pack, on offer for the Indian gentry, similar to its diesel counterpart. The one who wants to go with top-of-the-line Q7 40 TFSI you will have to spend a cumulative sum of INR 74.43 lakh.
Beneath the fuel tank, the 40 TFSI Q7 is packed with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine. The engine is said to produce 249bhp of power between 5,000 and 6,000rpm along with the peak twisting force of 370Nm in between 1,600–3,450 rpm. All the churned power will be sent to all the wheels with the aids of an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The engine is capable enough to make the SUV complete 0-100Kmph sprint just in 6.9 seconds and touch the top speed of 233mph.
Cosmetically, the petrol-powered Q7 is embellished with the Matrix-LED headlamps and tail lights, chrome-bezel grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, sunroof and Quattro embossing on door sills. Moving inside, you will find a four-zone climate control, Audi MMI infotainment system, black and beige leather upholstery and the Audi Virtual Cockpit. Other features include the Audi Drive Select, cruise control, auto parking, 360-degree camera, electric seats with memory, 558 Watts Bose sound system, and ambient lighting with 30 combinations. While, the equipment such as eight airbags, TPMS, tilt angle sensors, and Audi Pre-Sense will save the life of the occupants.
In terms of rivalry, the Q7 40 TFSI will knock his horns with the already available competitors in this large premium SUV segment in the market including Mercedes-Benz GLE 400, BMW X5 35i, Land Rover Discovery 3.0L petrol and the Jeep Grand Cherokee petrol.
