Audi is quite on a rampage these as the company is launching and confirming back to back cars very fast. At the currently ongoing LA Motor Show, Audi has already launched its Prologue concept car and demoed its R8 Competition Limited Edition runabout too. Now, there is another surprise from the company as it has officially declared that its range topping Q8 SUV will undergo production very soon. According to the company sources, it has been said that the new Audi Q8 is technically a longer version of the current Q7 SUV and hence will be more sporty and efficient. However, there also are rumors that Audi India mighty call off Q7 SUV in the country.
Audi's chief also spotted saying that 'The Q8 will come. It will be something new, following designs established on the Prologue concept. It will be positioned as something more emotional and more sporty than Q7. The Q7 will be a car for 7 people, the Q8 will be more coupe like.' The company has plans to launch this car within the next 3 years, following by Q1, Q2, Q4 and Q6 in the series.
The SUV will be developed by keeping China, The USA and Middle East markets in mind and soon after it goes under production, a large A8 sedan is likely to be produced as well. There are no more specification details yet, but an adjustable air suspension system might become its part.
