After the world premiere at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Audi is now starting the production Q2 in the German city, Ingolstadt. Being the smallest SUV in the carmaker's line-up, the Q2 is underpinned by the MQB platform of the Volkswagon Group and is considerably shorter than the Q3 version. This is the new product in Audi's portfolio and the 13th model that was showcased at the Geneva event.

To be built on the A3 line, the Q2 will be filtered via the body shop, paint shop, and assembly altogether with the said sibling. "The start of series production of a new model is always a great challenge and something special for a plant and its employees. We are proud to be building the Audi Q2- the Q-family entry model- here in Ingolstadt for the world market," said Albert Mayor, Audi's plant director in Ingolstadt.
Considering the engines precisely, the car will be engaged with six different mill choices in Europe- an 114BHP 1.0-litre three-cylinder TFSI, 148BHP 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol, 187BHP 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol, 114bhp 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel, 148bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel, and 187bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel. Transmissions are going to be a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed S-Tronic dual clutch. The Indian version might be packed with a 2.0-litre diesel engine.
