A new electric scooter manufacturing firm of the country, Avan Motors has launched two of its new scooters named Xero and Xero+. The Avan Xero is the entry level model which is priced at INR 55,000. Whereas, to purchase the performance-oriented Xero+ trim, you have to shell out INR 85,000. Both the prices are exclusively ex-showroom.
Other than this, in order to purchase your suite, there is no need of visiting dealerships. The company is providing the facilities of test rides, purchase and servicing scooters at your doorstep. You can access these services from the brand’s official website.
Not so fancy in styling, the Xero variants features an all-digital instrument console, LED indicators, three riding modes, mobile phone charger slot, a top box, safety parking brake and panel guards as standards fitments.

The Xero is powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery which propels a 250W electric BLDC motor. The powering setup helps the Xero in attaining the top speed of 25kmph with a travel range of 70km. On the other hand, an 800W electric motor powered by dual lithium-ion batteries propels the performance-oriented Xero+ trim. The top speed for the Xero+ is 45kmph while it can travel 110km range. The company claims both the batteries can fully be charged in just four hours. While the gradeability for both the trims are 6 and 7 degrees respectively.
The suspension setup which comprises of a telescopic front fork and a single spring-type rear suspension and the braking combination of the front disc brake and a rear drum brake is the common fitments on both the Avan Xero and Avan Xero Plus e-scooters.
With the Xero and the Xero+, the Avan Motors commenced its business in the Indian motoring market. Initially, the Pune where the company is based will be benefited with these electric scooter offerings. While the other cities will get their availability by the end of this year.
