You will definitely enjoy the ride once on the Royal Enfield Continental GT which was the first Cafe Racer in India. Later Hero Motors brought its Splendor Pro Classic Cafe Racer for our nation. But, here is one more shocking news to knock you down with feather. It's Bajaj's Cafe racer modified on Boxer 150. However, a bike enthusiast revealed and showcased this Boxer Café Racer in Turkey ahead of Bajaj’s any official announcement.
Well, the impeccable and great engineering work can easily be seen in its images, which reveal everything about this bike. The mechanism of the new bike remains same as the touring machine is the same Bajaj Boxer 150. It takes the power from 144.8cc single cylinder, air-cooled engine which is capable in generating the peak power of 12 hp at 7500 rpm. This can take 4500 rotations per minute to produce 12 Nm maximum torque. Its fuel tank has the capability of holding 11 liters of petrol.
Alloy wheels on tubeless tires, circular headlight structure, underbelly exhaust with carbon-fiber coating is just wonderful to make it a café racer. Headlight and side indicators are going circular in this motorcycle. However, the disappointing part is the absence of disc brake. Another factor to disappoint is its rear swingarm which looks unsheltered due to the extinct conventional silencer.
Overall, it's a good try to give the defunct Boxer 150 a new life following the retro theme which had been restarted in India by Royal Enfield in 2013. Now, its Bajaj's turn to show its competence in the retro Cafe racer market. However, there is no idea about its India launch. Let’s hope that we could see the Boxer 150 Cafe Racer soon.
