Bajaj is planning to make 'Hamara Bajaj' worth again

Well, who doesn’t know about the very famous Bajaj scooters, which have been running all across the country in old decades. The highly adored and cherished advertisement of the Bajaj scooters, saying a punch line 'Hamara Bajaj' is expected to come again, but in a new form. As, we all know that the scooter segment is continuously sprouting up in the Indian two-wheeler market. Currently, the top designations are attained by the Honda Motorcycles and TVS in the scooter segment. Well, in an interview, Mr. Rahul Bajaj has showed up the company's intention to jump into the scooter segment once again.

However, it's not yet even confirmed by the company, as the MD and Chairman, both are giving different directions to the company's future. Although, the firm has a strong base of the Pulsar Series motorcycles, which is already ruling over the youth's mind, but the Bajaj Auto would like to gain the same position in the scooter segment as well, which was once mastered by the firm in previous decades. Apart from all these discussions, the firm has a planned schedule for the upcoming motorcycles in various segments.

Talking about the upcoming sports motorcycles, the Bajaj Auto has scheduled the launching of the Pulsar 150NS, 200SS and 400SS. Besides these, the firm is following a different strategy of introducing a 160cc Pulsar motorcycle by the coming year. And, above all this, it is also expected that we could see an ultra modern and freshly designed Platina, as well in the coming year.

Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj said, "We have two significant launches in the Pulsar and Platina segment. Together, they will yield two per cent market share. In the first half of this year, we had a significant launch of Discover (150cc). We will (now) implement it downwards in 100-125cc. This will bring us to 25-26 per cent market share in the first half of next year. Then, in the second half, I would like to go to 30 per cent, for which we have to do something remarkable. It is a marketing move, not some great technology change. There is an opportunity to create something big."
