After introducing the Discover 150 brothers in the month of August, the Bajaj Auto is planning to give a new direction to its oldest commuter segment motorcycle. The Bajaj is envisioning its oldest commuter segment motorcycle, Bajaj Platina, carrying a whole new avatar. Currently, it has only one version with new other sibling and upgrades. Following the success steps of the Bajaj Discover 150F and 150S, the firm is planning to introduce the facelift version of the existing motorcycle, Platina.
The Bajaj Platina is built around a single-cylinder, air-cooled engine carrying an engine displacement of 99.3cc. The engine is tuned in a specific manner to fetch out a total power of 8.2PS @ 7000 RPM and a peak torque of 8.1Nm @ 5000 RPM. The upcoming facelift version is expected to receive more fuel-efficient engine boosting up more power. The upcoming revamped version would be directly competing with the newly launched Honda CD 110 Dream and Hero Splendor pro Classic.

Talking about the upcoming version of the Bajaj Platina, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto says that the firm will be scheduling two new launches for the upcoming days. The one will be from the premium commuter segment and another one belongs to the commuter segment. So, it directly indicates that the firm will be coming with a refreshed version of the Bajaj Platina and another one could be a new member in the Bajaj's family.
The Bajaj Auto is also planning to introduce the most anticipated Pulsar 200 SS and 400 SS anytime soon. The most anticipated sports motorcycles could make their entry in the Indian two-wheeler market by the starting of the coming year, 2015.
