Bajaj Pulsar 125 has finally been launched in India. It is named as the Pulsar Neon which gets two variants- the drum brake variant and the front disc brake variant. The pricing of respective variants stands at INR 64,000 and INR 66,618 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
It was last month when we informed about the launch of a Pulsar 125 and now the motorcycle has officially been launched in the country and started reaching dealerships. The motorcycle features similar styling and hardware of the Pulsar 150 as we mentioned in our earlier post. While the official confirmation on the Pulsar 125 on-road price comes, we could anticipate pricing of the motorcycle at INR 81,990 (on-road, Pune) as revealed from the dealer\'s source. As compared to ongoing Pulsar 150 Neon pricing, it is cheaper by INR 5,000.
Globally, the Pune based bike maker produces as Bajaj Pulsar NS125 motorcycle and the same was expected to hit India. However, by choosing Pulsar signature styling the company made the right decision as it is one of the most selling 150cc premium motorcycles in the country.
Beneath the fuel tank, the Pulsar 125 will be packed with a 124.38cc, single-cylinder, two-valve air-cooled engine. The motor is capable of churning out the maximum power of 12hp at 8,500rpm and 11Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. Wheres, the NS 125 features similar displacement engine though it uses four-valve as against to two-valve setup of the Pulsar 125. But the power generation for both the mills are identical.

Other than this, the Pulsar 125 is equipped with the cycle parts like a telescopic fork, twin shock absorbers and 17-inch wheels. All the mentioned components here are shared from the Bajaj Pulsar 150. However, the fitment of a Combi-Braking System is USP of the motorcycle over the ABS of the bigger sibling. In terms of weight, the 125 is quite lighter than the Pulsar Neo which stands 139.5kg as against 144kgs of the latter.
The company is offering the Pulsar 125 in three different colour schemes including Solar Red, Platinum Silver and Neon Blue. The styling of the motorcycle is similar to the 150 Neon however the model misses out on components like fuel tank extensions and a belly pan.
Post its launch, the 2019 Bajaj Pulsar 125 STD has become the most affordable Pulsar in the brand’s lineup. The presence of CBS as advanced safety features confirms motorcycle complies with the country’s new safety norms.
