Bajaj Auto Ltd. is in talks with its lately launched sports motorcycle, Pulsar RS200. Introduced on 26th March, 2015 it has created a whole buzz around in the Indian two-wheeler market as it has come-up with various new components. Inspired from the firm’s flagship naked sports motorcycle, Pulsar 200NS, RS200 is first-of-its-kind sports motorcycle loaded with fully-faired bodywork and as per the manufacturer claims, it is the fastest Pulsar yet. Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the very first sports motorcycle, which is equipped with ABS in small engined sports motorcycle segment.
Although, firm has launched RS200 in two variants, ABS and Non-ABS, but while we talk about sales figures, ABS version is getting more bookings as compared to Non-ABS version. However, this attraction towards the RS200 ABS is pretty good as people are now aware enough to use high-standard safety features in motorcycles as well. Moreover, Bajaj Auto Ltd. has recently released a video showcasing the advantages of having ABS in Pulsar RS200. It has compared the ABS and Non-ABS versions of Pulsar RS200 over gravel and wet road and as per conclusion, that we all know, ABS version simply rocks.
Featuring a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor configuration, it gives an engine displacement of 199.5cc, which throws out a churning power of 24.2 BHP @ 9750 RPM and achieves a peak torque of 18.6 Nm @ 8000 RPM, while coupled to a 6-speed transmission. As it has given a tagline of “Fastest Pulsar Yet”, it gives a top speed of 141 KMPH. Priced at INR 1.18 Lacs for Non-ABS variant and INR 1.30 Lacs for ABS variant, it is worth every penny you are going to spend over it.
