Bajaj V12 Temporarily Discontinued from the Indian market

Bajaj Auto has discontinued its cafe racer styled V12 brand from the Indian market. Its elimination from existing brand lineup is temporary as revealed by the dealer sources. Neither the V12 stock is available at the dealerships nor the dealers are accepting bookings for the model.

Get positioned between the Discover 125 and the V15 last year, the V12 shares design cues from its elder brother V15. However, it receives a few attributes different from the V15 in order to keep the pricing low. The components include new alloy wheels wrapped up with tubed tyres, chrome accent and a basic instrument cluster.

In the 125 segment, the Pune based bikemaker has commuters like the Discover 125 and the V12. However, the latter one not being managed to get over 1000 homes monthly over the past months. Whereas, the Discover 125 has an average of over 6000 units meantime which clearly showcases the audience is going for sober looking Discover as against to the V12 with distinct styling.

We can consider the issue similar to the Pulsar 135 LS which was also discontinued from the product lineup temporarily, owing to low sales numbers. Later, considering the market, the automaker re-introduced the motorcycle in a refreshed avatar at an aggressive pricing.

We expect the same with the V12, the motorcycle with unique styling. It will hit the production line again, also the market in coming future.
