While we are expecting the Benelli TNT 25 for the Indian product portfolio, the Indonesian automobile market again took over us, as it is the introduction of a new product. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli, has unveiled its 150cc naked motorcycle over the Indonesian ground. The 150cc displaced motorcycle has made its surprise appearance at an on-going trade fair in Jakarta, Indonesia. Well, the waiting of the quarter-liter motorcycle has now turned out into expecting the 150cc displaced naked motorcycle.
Mechanically, the Benelli TNT 15 draws its power from a single-cylinder motor configuration with 2-valves; carrying an engine displacement of 148cc. The carbureted air-cooled engine has been coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. The power and torque figures achieved by the 148cc carbureted engine are not being disclosed by the manufacturer yet. Being a commuter segment motorcycle, the TNT 15 acquires pretty attractive curves and cues from the Italian boffins. An upright riding position has been given with the balanced seat height.
The motorcycle is designed around a simple tubular diamond frame, which is further incorporated by Telescopic front forks and monoshock at the rear. The firm has installed 5-spoke alloy wheels with a 17-inch wheel size at the front and rear, both. The stopping capabilities come from a single disc at the front end and drum brakes at the rear.
Cosmetically, the Benelli TNT 15 exhibits a solo headlamp, newly fabricated fuel tank and exhaust tail, split seats and the most attractive part is the minimal bodywork acquired by the motorcycle. Apart from these, the other eye-candy feature is the under-belly color coordinated framework equipped by the 150cc engine motorcycle. In terms of technical components, the TNT 15 is blessed with a semi-digital instrument console.
However, being a 150cc naked motorcycle, the Benelli TNT 15 doesn’t appear to be much hefty on the customer’s pocket. It is available in the market carrying a price tag of IDR 18 million (approx Rs 86,000).
