As per the latest report at Bikewale, a 300cc adventure motorbike from Benelli is in early stages of development. The motorcycle is speculated to get TRK 302 wedge and could appear in a market ready avatar by next year.
In the 300cc displacement category, the Indian market already has the availability of street naked and full-fairing sports bikes, but this entry-level adventure bike segment has a wider space to accommodate new entrants. Apart from the Benelli TRK 302, the newcomers which could join this 300cc adventure genre in Indian biking industry are BMW G310S, adventure sibling of the upcoming naked street fighter, G310R. Globally, it has been unveiled in its full-fledged form. The next to join is KTM 390 Adventure from Bajaj, like Benelli TRK 302, it is also in under development.
If talked about the Benelli TRK 302, it will be all new in terms of equipped cycle parts and other attributes such as it will get the employment of newly developed chassis, subframe, suspension setup, wheels and even the instrument console will also be a fresh unit. Whereas, the 300 cc twin cylinder engine from the TNT 300 and the forthcoming Tornado 302 brothers, will take care the propelling duties of this adventure tourer. However, the engine will be tuned as per the bike’s touring genre to produce low and mid range torque.
The Indian arrival of the TRK 302 will completely depend on the market response of its elder sibling Benelli TRK 502, which is expected to launch in India in early 2018. If automaker will receive an initial positive customer response they will boost up the development process of the TRK 302. Well, it will land on the Indian soil when it is production ready, however, the launch is likely to take place sometime in 2019.
