BMW 1 Series hatchback has been facelifted this year and will be making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2015 with many cosmetic changes. Now currently, the BMW 1 series gets assembled at the company's Chennai facility through the CKD route. But, while the BMW officials were asked about the launch of the car, they told that the car could become the part of the 15 cars launching this year India. However, the didn't let know the exact date of the launch of the car, hence waiting and speculating of the launch is the only option left for the car enthusiasts.
Among the 15 cars, there would be some performance cars like 6 series facelift, M6 GranCoupe, X5M and X6M as well. The Director of Marketing, BMW India, Mr Frank Schloder said “the launch of performance and expensive models in a nascent segment is to build the brand image and preview to average customers the capabilities of their products; to give it a distinct, premium image in India.”
Like its predecessor, the facelift will be launched via the CKD route and will be assembled locally here in India. And, the market sources are saying that the launch could take place by the end of the year at an expected Ex-Showroom price of INR 25-30 Lac.
