BMW 3GT facelift was globally launched a few months back and now the Indian folks also got the chance to sit behind the steering wheel of the model. The India-bound of BMW 3GT facelift is similar to that of the global model. While giving minor tweaks to exterior and interior over the regular one, the facelift version gets major updates under the hood.
The minimal styling tweaks have been made to the 3-series GT facelift with visual contrasts over the regular model including a delicate change in the air-pipe design in advance, standard-fit LED headlamps with recently planned lens design, and a modified valence board on the lower edge of the back guard.
Inside the cabin, the facelift version remains almost identical to the previous model. This time, the carmaker has mainly aimed at enhancing the overall experience instead of proving an all-new look. Features and equipment include electrically adjustable seats, a power operable sunroof, leather upholstery and BMW's iDrive smart infotainment system that controls everything from the audio command to the navigation.
One of the notable updates is massive boot space of 520 litres which can be further expanded to the 1600 litres by folding the rear seat which features versatile 40:20:40 split.
Beneath the front end, the 3GT facelift features four-cylinder 20d diesel engine which is good for producing 190 PS of maximum power along with the peak torque of 400 Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an 8-speed ZF gearbox. BMW is also offering a higher petrol variant, a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 252 PS of maximum power along with the 350 Nm of torque. The outputs boost the car from standstill to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds.
The facelift BMW 3GT has no direct competitor in the Indian market, it will help the car take on the Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class.
