BMW 5-Series Petrol Variant Detailed Specifications

Yeah! You heard that right! From now on the Indian consumers have also an option to switch their mind between a petrol engine and a diesel engine as BMW brings you its 520i with a petrol trim. It might be a step to regain its sales graph in Delhi, which is highly affected by the state government rules of diesel ban that comes with a displacement above 2000 cc.

Imported through the Completely build unit (CBU) route, the vehicle has been introduced in a unique 'Luxury Line' design scheme. It might lie little outside your budget that is INR 54 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, India).

Available in three exterior colors namely, Alpine White, Black Sapphire and Imperial Blue, it carries the same designing features as the ongoing diesel variant. The list includes dual beam projector headlamps, a sleek front bumper, air intakes, round fog lamps, air dam and the signature kidney grille.

The 'Luxury Line' unit comes decorated with chrome at the front fascia together with 'Luxury' badge on front panel as well as at car key. Moreover, you can adorn your own interior with a range of upholstery options like Dakota Cinnamon Brown, Black, Dakota Vento Beige and Dakota Oyster along with black stitching. In addition, it also has Harman Kardon Surround System with supportive Bluetooth and USB port, park distance control and rear view camera.  

In terms of powertrain, it gets a 2.0-litre twinpower turbo 4-cylinder engine that belts out 181 Bhp of power and 270 Nm of torque. An 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission is mated with the engine. With this arrangement, the car can sprints from 0-100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds and can reach at a top speed of 233 km/h.
