Adding to its 5-Series sedan’s line up, BMW has now launched its new 530i M Sport variant. This is the new range-topping petrol 5-Series priced at Rs 59.20 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The M Sport trim has been never offered before this to any model except the 530d model. BMW 530i M Sport is the second model which is being offered with it next to the 530d model.
The new 530i denotes BMW M Sport exterior package. It includes the features like a sportier front and rear bumpers. The Kidney shaped grille are detailed with black gloss. We could also find features like fog lamp housing, an M aerodynamics package with side skirts and front and rear aprons. There is an 18-inch M alloys, trapezoidal exhaust tips, M Sport brakes with blue callipers and M badging on the front fenders. Now, we would discuss the model’s Inside features which is equipped with seats with Dakota leather upholstery, Aluminium Rhombicle interior trim which has pearl chrome highlights, dual-zone automatic climate control. The interior of the Sedan is offered with ambient lighting, dynamic damper control and a 12.3-inch multi-functional instrument display.

The new 530i is the model which is rich in technical offerings and features wireless charging, park assist with a surround view camera, the remote control parking. It features the BMW Display key and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, navigation, BMW apps and gesture control compatibility.
It is the BS-VI-compliant along with 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which has been offered with the BMW 530i M Sport. The turbocharged petrol engine is meant to produce a power of 252hp at 5,200rpm and produces a torque of 350Nm at 1,450-4,800rpm. The working of the engine is such that it sends power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmissiom gearbox. There are five driving modes being offered with the M Sport, viz, Comfort, Eco Pro, Sport, Sport+ and Adaptive.
The safety features include the new 530i gets 8 airbags, ABS with EBD cornering brake control, dynamic stability control, dynamic traction control, attentiveness assistant, side impact protection, Isofix child seat mounts and there are three-point seatbelts for all the five passengers which are rare. The other offerings from BMW 5-series line up in India are the 530i Sport Line (Rs 53.80 lakh), 520d Luxury Line (Rs 58.70 lakh) and 530d M Sport (Rs 66.20 lakh).

The BMW 5-Series range gives strong competition to the other luxury sedans like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the Audi A6 and the Jaguar XF. Thus we see how the new top-spec trim, BMW 530i M Sport is coming equipped with a BS-VI compliant petrol engine with an interior and exterior update.
