The German automaker priced these first made in India BMW bikes at the ex-showroom pricing of INR 2.99 lakh and INR 3.49 lakh respectively. They attract INR 3.78 and INR 4.35 lakh for on-road asking. As confirmed from BMW Motorrad India officials, over 1000 bookings have been registered wherein the adventure tourer BMW G310 GS contributes comparatively higher. In terms of colour choices, the BMW Motorrad India is offering the G310 R draped in Style HP, Cosmic Black and Racing Red paint schemes. While, for the adventure touring G310 GS, there are metallic colours of Pearl White Metallic, Cosmic Black and Racing Red. The premium colour choices such as Style HP and Pearl White Metallic are priced INR 10,000 dearer over ex-showroom, price.

Evidently, the BMW G310 R is embellished with a unique headlamp, chiselled fuel tank, comfortable single seat and gold plated USD front forks. Whereas the adventure tourer BMW G310 GS that is based on a lightweight frame gets a high mounted front fender and a windscreen to protect from wind blast.

Beneath the fuel tank, the powering unit is similar on both the bikes. They come loaded with a new 313cc, water cooled, single cylinder, four stroke engine that is good for 34 hp at 9,500rpm along with 28Nm at 7,500 rpm. The engine that incorporates inclined cylinder in an open deck design gets head turned by 180 degrees. The six-speed manual gearbox handles the power transmission to the rear wheel. With this engine, the bikes can easily complete the sprint from standstill to 50kmph position in just 2.5 seconds and attain the top speed of 143kmph.

The company is offering the standard warranty of 3 years/ unlimited kms on both the bikes which can be further be extended to 4 or 5 years. The BMW twins will rival against the respective competitors like the KTM 390 Duke and Mahindra Mojo.
