BMW launches S1000R in India, Prices Revealed

BMW S1000R will be coming towards India. The BMW Motorcycles has launched the naked version motorcycle on the Indian roads. The motorcycle will be making its track via the CBU route. This is a roadster motorcycle with outstanding performance. Well, we can also say that this is a street-naked or stripped down version of the BMW's S1000RR motorcycle. The roadster motorcycle has been sold along with a price tag of INR 22.83 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Mumbai). Few days back, the company had launched its latest model BMW R NINE T in India, which is priced at INR 23.5 Lakh. The S1000R, street-naked motorcycle will be available at only three dealerships showrooms in India, which are located in Bangalore, Mumbai and the capital city, Delhi.

The roadster motorcycle is built around an aluminum chassis. The motorcycle looks more aggressive with the dual headlamps and the golden colored upside-down telescopic front suspension. The stepped seat and the massive fuel tank of the motorcycle along with an 'R' badged over the either sides of the tank makes this bike more appealing. The monoshock suspension at the rear is linked to an alloy swing arm.

The BMW S1000R features the same 999cc engine, but with a little bit of changes. The motor consists of a liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine. It is capable to churn out 160BHP @ 11,000 revs/min, which is about 30BHP lesser than the original version and delivers a maximum torque of 112Nm @ 9,250 RPM. The peak torque which has been delivered by the S1000R is about 500 revs lesser than the racing version of S1000RR. The braking system of the roadster has been taken care by 320mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes. And, the ABS will coming be with a convertible option and as a standard too.

The available colors of S1000R in India will be Blue, Red and White. The delivery of the motorcycle will totally depend on the color availability, which you are demanding for. It could take a week or can go up to a month as well.
