The famous German car maker BMW launched the next generation M4 Coupe at the recently concluded Goodwood Festival of Speed and now the car has been spotted testing on the roads as the launch in very near for the car. This new BMW M4 Coupe will replace the current M3 from the lineup, but will heritage the engine from the car. And, it'll be a 2-Door coupe unlike the 4-Door M3.
The car will be based on the 3-series platform and will feature a 3.0 Litre 6-Cylinder Twin Turbo engine which could produce 431 bhp power @ 5500-7300 rpm and 550 Nm of torque @ 1850-5500 rpm. The car will get one out of two transmission system, that is 6-Speed Manual or 7-Speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The top speed of the car is electronically limited to 250 km/h and it touches the 100 km/h mark from 0 in just 4.1 seconds. Though, the manual transmission takes 4.3 seconds, but in India, the company has plans to offer only the automatic version of the car.
The safety is something which has been taken care in this version of the M-series coupe. The latest features of safety in the M4 are Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Stability Clutch Control System and others. There are 3 modes available for the driving viz, comfort, sport plus and sport only for your different mood and the mileage is also one thing that will try to bring a little smile as its 11.35 km/l for the manual transmission and 12 km/l for the automatic transmission, but the price tag will be around INR 1 Crore.
