BMW Motorrad Showcased concept ROADSTER

In the year 2013, BMW initially presented their classic motorcycle with a boxer engine i.e. BMW concept ninety at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, which was held in Italy. Now this year BMW had decided to showcased their new upcoming boxer-powered engine bike with Concept Roadster at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, 2014 at Lake Como, Italy.

On the occasion Edgar Heinrich, Head of BMW Motorrad Design said that "The BMW Concept Roadster shows that as far as BMW is concerned, motorcycling is about far more than just perfect function. This concept bike is a symbol of how modern and emotional a boxer-powered BMW roadster can be."

The Concept Roadster bike is a pack of twin-cylinder, 4-stroke engine, capable of displacing 1170cc. This bike can generate 125 horse power at 7750 rpm with a maximum torque of 12.74kgm at 6500rpm. This whole power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a driveshaft. This driveshaft is typically offered by BMW Motorrad which is a replacement of chain drive system.

The design of engine spoiler on the BMW Roadster Concept will provide aerodynamic capabilities and it also incorporates the entire front exhaust system. This will help this bike to meet noise prevention requirements in future. This Concept Roadster is also furnished with a monoshock suspension at the rear and upside-down front forks.

There is no mud guard in this concept and the tailpipe of this bike is wrapped under the seat. It has a full LED in its front headlight and the rear consist of a minimalistic instrument panel. The braking system is provided by Brembo which uses radial-mount mono-bloc calipers.
