The Indian car market is getting not only the attention from the world, but the cars as well. The Mercedes-Benz has already piled up the market with its cars and now the BMW is also walking the same road. The company launched the X5 SUV just last month and now the rumors are strong that after witnessing the overwhelming response of the X5, the new X3 is next in the line. The BMW X3 was launched in the February this year for the rest of the world and with a few tweaks here and there.
However, the car will get only minor makeover, but the grille will be completely new. Other changes are headlight adjustments, more aggressive looking at front and rear, turn signals at OVRMs and LED headlights as well. Inside, the car will have features like more chrome accents, coverable cup holders and new panels with HVAC display and optional navigational system. On the mechanical front, the X3 has TwinPower 2.0 Litre diesel engine, producing 187 bhp power and 400 Nm torque for xDrive models with ZF 8-speed transmission system. However, BMW X3 sDrive will produce only 147 bhp power and 360 Nm torque.
The BMW has to do something very different to outrun the Mercedes-Benz from the league and it has chosen luxury SUV car market in India or at least this is what we can conclude from the current proceedings of the company.
