BMW to Launch 6 Series Facelift in India on May 29

BMW has promulgated that it will set up its 6 Series facelift in the Indian market on May 29 in this current year. The leading German luxury car manufacturer has confessed that the 6 Series Gran Coupe version, which is known as the four door variant of the 6 Series will be ready to embark on the way of our country before the end of this ongoing month. It has already been unveiled in December last year with awesome cosmetic design, but its mechanical terms will remain same as the existing one.

At the front, the coupe gets an updated kidney grille, revamped bumper and standard LED headlights, while the other alterations come with latest alloy wheel patterns, mildly tweaked rear bumper and four stunning color options that are enough to make this vehicle more charming than its predecessor. Apart from the latest dual tone leather upholstery choices and much better material quality, the 6 Series facelift receives same features inside the cabin as the current one.

In India, it will be introduced in the 640d version that would include a 3.0 litre inline six cylinder diesel engine to produce an impressive power of 313 hp at 4,400 rpm and a stupendous torque of 630 Nm between 1,500 to 2,500 rpm. An 8-speed automatic transmission will be available for sending the churned out power to its rear wheels.

Ahead of hitting a top speed of 250 km/h, the runabout can be accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. BMW will bring the new 6 Series via CBU route into our country and this retouched vehicle will compete against the Mercedes CLS Class and Audi A7.
