A few months back, we've got collaboration news in between the German motorcycle manufacturer and an Indian two-wheeler maker. Yeah!! You got it right, here I'm talking about the world-known BMW Motorrad and TVS, who have joined hands to bring up something new. The cooperatively developed motorcycle is supposedly to be a smaller capacity vehicle. While talking to the BMW Motorrad's head, Mr. Stephan Schaller, he confirmed that the jointly manufactured motorcycle is scheduled for the 2015 launch, at any suitable of the year.
Briefing about the upcoming motorcycle, he says, "The small capacity bikes are still on target for us in terms of the timetable which means this time next year the bikes will be presented. We will keep the original timing, but maybe we have to put a little bit more resource into this to keep with the schedule. In one year’s time I think we can start talking about the new bikes. The design and engineering are done by BMW in Munich and then TVS is doing much of the work to get these bikes ready for production."

As the company's head mentioned that the upcoming motorcycle will get displayed at any time of the year, the possibilities could be there that the firm will be showcasing it at motorcycle exhibitions. As, the motorcycle exhibitions are the perfect place to display any new or concept model. The upcoming BMW-TVS motorcycle will be expected to feature a 300cc powered engine and the manufacturer will be offering this bike in three different versions, which will be a roadster, an adventure model and a sports styled motorcycle.
The collaboration of BMW with Indian two-wheeler maker, TVS; clearly shows the interest of the German motorcycle manufacturer in the Indian two-wheeler industry. Following the success steps of various other collaborations such as KTM with Bajaj Auto Ltd.; Benelli and Hyosung with DSK, the BMW would also like to expand its wings in the Indian Two-wheeler industry.
