2018 BMW X3 Introduced At Rs. 49.99 Lakhs In India

The German carmaker has introduced the new-gen BMW X3 in India with a price tag of Rs. 49.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). It is powered by a single two-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine and available with two trim lines including xDrive Luxury Line and xDrive Expedition. The car was introduced in 2017 internationally and revealed in India at the 2018 Auto Expo in February.

The third generation model will compete the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, Lexus NX and Audi Q5 directly in the market. Concerning the design of the X3, it is quite evolutionary along with the feel of the X3 essence, revised particular components in order to make the car new and to provide the new generation design.

Further, it features a lower roof line, a curved design, a larger kidney grille, and full LED headlamps to make the car sharp looking. Using the new platform, now the car weighs 55 kgs less than the previous one. You get everything that you expect from the company or the cars in the segment including three-zone climate control, digital instrument cluster, Sat-Nav, touchscreen for the iDrive system, ambient lighting, and powered tailgate. It is available in the two variants in the market including Expedition and Luxury Line.

The BMW X3 is powered by a two-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing a peak power of 187bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm at 1,750-2,500rpm and comes mated to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission. The third generation model can reach from idle to 100 kmph in just 8 seconds.

It shows similarity with the Volvo XC60, Jaguar E-Pace, Lexus NX, Audi Q5, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. In the price range of BMW X3, you will get mid-size SUVs. the BMW X3 in xDrive 20d Expedition is available at Rs. 49.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, India) and xDrive 20d Luxury Line is priced at Rs. 49.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, India), whereas xDrive 20d Luxury Line is available at Rs. 56.70 lakhs.
