After showing the launch month of the next generation Jazz in a teaser poster, Honda is expected to commence the bookings for this model from June 20 ahead of its release likely to take place on July 8, 2015. On the outside, it will get superb foglamps, rear spoiler, rear windshield wiper and washer, 16 inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable side mirrors, including embedded turn signals and folding features.
Its interior will be inspired by the City sedan with black and beige colour based theme, comprising spectacular equipments, such as an AVN (Audio Visual Navigation) 15.7 cm touchscreen infotainment system, finest leather cover for steering wheel and gear knob and a touch panel for the automatic climate control.
Under the hood, the hatchback will receive both mill options, petrol and diesel, in which the petrol unit would be shared with the Amaze and Brio, whereas an oil burner choice will be same as the Honda City, Mobilio and Amaze. Both of these units are powered by a 1.2 litre i-VTEC and a 1.5 litre iDTEC engines, respectively.
While the former one produces power of 88 PS and torque of 109 Nm on Brio, the latter one is capable of churning out the output of 100 PS and 200 Nm on the Amaze as well as believes to return fuel efficiency of more than 25 km/l on the upcoming Jazz.
Its petrol model will be mated to a CVT gearbox and the manual transmission is presumed to get either a 5-speed or a 6-speed unit. Expected to be priced between INR 5 Lac to INR 8 Lac, the Honda Jazz will take on the likes of the Maruti Swift, Tata Bolt, Hyundai Elite i20 and VW Polo.
