Prices for the petrol variant will start from approx 14 lakh, though, the automaker hasn't confirmed it officially, but, neither denied as well.
As the new rule by Delhi and NCR to ban the diesel cars with a displacement of 2000cc has put a wide number of the carmakers in trouble, the introduction of this petrol variant will certainly aid Toyota to deal with the stated regulation. Introducing a petrol car is a smart move by the Japanese carmaker as the restriction on diesel engines in Delhi has pushed the customers to go for the petrol powered cars with no choice left other than this. The home-grown utility vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra has suffered by this ban as well, however, managed somehow by its smaller capacity diesel engine SUV machines there.
