Triumph Motorcycle India has started taking up bookings for its most economical bike, the Triumph Street Twin. The motorcycle was released alongside the Bonneville, a couple of weeks ago. Dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai have started accepting the bookings with an opening price of Rs. 1 lac and it is anticipated that the deliveries will make their move in April 2016 after the its launch in the country. Despite that the British manufacturer is still in disguise about the official launch of the bike, yet it is to be believed that the Street Twin will give a shot at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo, scheduled to be held in the first week of February.

The all new 2016 Street Twin gets a pleasing design approach inspired by the new wave custom that totally flaunts a peppy youngster look. The motorcycle features a glossy black painted engine casing, an un-swept exhaust, cast wheels and nominalistic bodywork. Some of the breakthrough features of the bike include a traction control system with ride-by-wire technology delivering fine acceleration and better fuel economy. For an amazing riding experience for the rider and the pillion as well as for dynamic handling, the automaker has returned with chassis and suspension unit. Moreover, it has been engineered with under seat USB socket, ABS system, LED tail lamp and engine immobilizer.
Proceeding over the engine specifications, the 2016 Street Twin gets a 900cc parallel twin engine that claims to generate 54BHP of peak power at 5900 RPM and 80NM of peak torque at 3200 RPM. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the British manufacturer has already announced the price of Street Twin in United Kingdom at Rs. 7.34 lacs and in India, it might go with a price tag of around Rs. 7 lacs. The bike will go on sale as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit.
