Datsun Go and Go Plus CVT Variants Launched in India

The Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) variants of the Go hatchback and the Go+ sub-4m MPV has been launched in India. However, the top-end T and T(O) variants of both the Go and Go+ models will only be available with this first in segment CVT option. At the respective pricing of INR 5.94 lakh and INR 6.58 lakh, the Go and Datsun Go+ models are the most affordable CVT cars in India.

For the newly launched GO and GO+ CVT variants, Datsun is offering a variety of colour options to make your choice, from Ruby Red, Vivid Blue, Bronze Grey, Amber Orange, Opal White and Crystal Silver. While these CVT models are also fitted with a host of modern-day features along with added safety. Among them, a 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay embrace the charm of the interior while, LED DRLs and a set of 14-inch alloy wheels enhance the appearance of the car.

The Japanese carmaker has made both the cars more secure in adherence to the new crash norms implemented in the country from October 1, this year. The cars now get improved crash performance with front and side crash performance, roof and pedestrian protection reinforcement. Along with it, both the models get the safety of dual airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, follow-me-home headlamps among others along with the first in segment Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC).

Under the hood, both the cars continue to get power from the same 1.2-litre petrol engine which is BS4 compliant and expected to get updated with the upcoming more stringent BS6 emission norms by April 2020. The churned power out for powertrain will also be same at 67bhp and 104Nm respectively. However, the gearbox transmission observed the introduction of first in segment CVT option, which is a more advanced, refined and sophisticated technology.

In its segment, the GO lock horns with the likes of models such as Hyundai Santro, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Tata Tiago, Celerio and Ignis. Considering customers’ convenience, Datsun is providing a standard two-year warranty package, which can further be extended up to five years with the payment of a nominal fee.
