Datsun is all prepared to introduce the more powerful version of its entry-level hatch, the Redi GO 1.0L, in India, tomorrow. Since its launch here, the hatchback from the Japanese car is following its French sibling, the Kwid, in various aspects such as spacious cabin, crossover impression, and an affordable price sticker.
And this time, the redi-GO is going to share the 1.0 litre drivetrain of the Kwid 1.0-litre. Altogether, the mechanical adjustment on this Redi-Go 1.0L mill will be the same as on the Kwid’s 1.0l. If the gearbox transmission is concerned, the Redi-Go propels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. While an option of AMT (automated manual transmission) is also bestowed by the Renault with its bigger 1.0 litre trim. Speculations suggest, the AMT trim can also be added to the redi-Go model in the near future.
At the exterior front, there is no difference between both the 0.8 litre and 1.0 L variants, besides a ‘1.0’ badge at the back. Inside the cabin, the 1.0 litre version will carry forward an all-black theme of the Sport trim of the regular model. In addition to that, a lock/unlock switch will also be given on the centre console of the car. The audio system with bluetooth connectivity, front power windows, driver airbag will be carried forward as it is in the Datsun Redi-Go 1.0l.
As expected, the company will roll out the redi-GO 1.0-litre in two variants and the pricing for the newcomer will be increased around Rs 25-30,000 than the standard version.
