DSK Benelli Increases Prices of Bikes by up to INR 43,000

The Italian sports bike maker, DSK Benelli’s Indian arm has increased the prices of its products by up to INR 43,000 in different parts of the country owing to the increase of VAT.

The TNT 25, which is considered as the most affordable bike in the entire line-up now carries a price tag of INR 1.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune) getting a hike of INR 7000. Similarly, the premium variant will also cost INR 7000 more, ergo, making a gross total of INR 1.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).

With a hike of INR 6000, the TNT 300 is now dispatched at INR 3.09 lakh from INR 3.03 lakh. Mentioning the highest hike, the Italian automaker has done the same on its popular TNT 600i ABS. Non-ABS version of the bike was previously sold at INR 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), though, it will now be priced at INR 5.86 lakh for the ABS unit. A direct increment of INR 41,000. Undoubtedly, this lofty increment is obvious as the motorcycle is now ABS-armed.

The price tag of TNT 600GTi is now INR 6.15 lakh due to an increase by INR 24,000. Moreover, the TNT 899 and the TNT R have also been dragged into this. The former now takes INR 35,000 more for the premium version, which is making it cost INR 9.73 lakh, whereas, the latter has been settled down for INR 12.11 lakh, receiving a hike of INR 43,000.

As of now, DSK Benelli has 17 dealerships across India and is trying to include 15 more by 2016 ends. The places which are going to see the showrooms soon include- Siliguri, Baroda, Bhubaneshwar, Vijayawada, Lucknow, and Agra. Further, the brand will take over following cities- Nagpur, Raipur, Patna, Udaipur, Calicut, and Thiruvananthapuram.
