DSK Hyosung to Add 4 New Models in its Indian Line-up by 2017

The South Korean motorcycle manufacturer, Hyosung is gearing-up to create a powerful hurricane in domestic market by adding four new products in its existing Indian line-up by the end of 2017 with the collaboration its Indian arms, DSK. According to the sources, the firm will be launching four new bikes as Hyosung GV300, Hyosung GT300R, Hyosung GT650R and Hyosung GD450 in next 18 months in our country. These all products were premiered at EICMA 2015 in Milan, Italy recently.

Hyosung GV300:

The Hyosung GV300 will be the first offering from the company in the cruiser segment. It is also to be expected that it will be a replacement for the Hyosung Aquila 250. The all new Hyosung GV300 comes with a round headlight, tear-drop fuel tank and split seats for comfortable riding. The motorcycle gives a dynamic balancing power as it is featured with telescopic forks at front and hydraulic duoble shocks at the rear end. The braking duties are managed by a 300mm disc up front and a 270mm disc at the rear and both ends assisted by ABS. Moreover, it receives a black powder-coated motor and alloy wheels.

It is powered by a 275cc, air/oil-cooled, V-twin engine producing peak power of 26 BHP at 8,500 RPM and peak torque 23.5 Nm at 7,000 RPM. The mill is mated to a five-speed transmission to transfer power to the rear wheel. The Hyosung GV300 will be arriving by May, 2016. It is expected that it will be sold at price tag INR 3.2 lakh – INR 4.1 lakh.

Hyosung GT300R:

The second offering from the firm will be Hyosung GT300R that was showcased at EICMA 2015. Likely, the motorcycle will replace the Hyosung GT250R. The full faired bike gets a sharper look. Moreover, the bike comes with a standard ABS. It gets the power from a 275cc, DOHC, V-twin engine that delivers maximum power output of 27 BHP at 10,500 RPM and peak torque of 23.5Nm at 7,000 RPM. The mill is coupled to a five-speed transmission. It will be launched around June, 2016.

Hyosung GT760R:

The South Korean showcased its middleweight sports bike, GT650R at EICMA 2015 and now the firm is planning to launch this product in our country by June 2016. The bike is featured with a muscular fuel tank that has a smaller fuel tank capacity of 15 litre. Moreover, the powering of the bike comes from a 647cc, 90 degree, DOHC, V-twin powerplant that churns out the maximum power output of 73 BHP and maximum torque of 54.4 Nm.

Hyosung GD450:

The firm revealed the GD450 prototype at the EICMA 2015 in Milan, Italy. As per the sources, the bike will be launched in the country by the end of 2016 or early 2017. The quarter-litre fairing bike is powered by a 499cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC motor that makes a supreme power of 49 BHP at 7,500 RPM and utmost torque of 47.7Nm at 7,000 RPM. The mill is paired to a six speed gear-box. The upcoming GD450 will give a tough competition to the KTM 390 Duke.
