Ducati India has introduced the 2019 MY iteration of Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S in India at the asking price of INR 17.70 lakh and INR 19.25 lakh, respectively. The 2019 Ducati new Bike models will replace the outgoing Diavel model in the Indian lineup.
The new Ducati Diavel 1260 is developed all-new from scratch. It gets a new frame, suspension setup, steering geometry and much more. Under the fuel tank, the motorcycles continue to shares the same powertrain, the 1,262cc, liquid-cooled, L-twin engine which the company uses on its models like the New Ducati Multistrada 1260 and XDiavel.
Among major highlights, the models feature a muscular stance, exposed trellis frame, single-piece seats, fatty rear tyres, etc. while the motorcycle continued to follow the design language of the outgoing model.
The powering for both the Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260 S comes from the Testastretta L-twin engine that is rated to develop the power of 159hp at 9,500rpm and 129Nm of torque at 7,500rpm from a mated 6-speed gearbox transmission. Other than this, both bikes are based on a similar trellis frame while the steering geometry has been altered to make the new Diavel quicker to steer without much effort.

The suspension and braking setup on both variants are different. The top-end Diavel 1260 S uses adjustable Ohlins and Brembo M50 Monobloc callipers towards the front wheel.
The electronic package on the new Diavel 1260 models consists of a 6-axis IMU-based electronic rider feature which provides the option of three riding modes – Urban, Touring and Sport. While the advanced safety of cornering ABS is a standard fitment.
